Making homemade churros is fun and exciting. Trying out new recipes for the kids in the house and adding little sweet flavours in between their day. Churros take very few minutes, safe to make with the kids around and enjoy as a snack.

  1. In a saucepan under medium heat, add water, brown sugar, salt, butter then stir the solution until the butter completely melts. Bring it to a boil.
  2. Add vanilla essence and flour then mix continuously, turn off heat later as you continue stirring to form a smooth dough.
  3. Put it in a bowl, beat 1 egg at a time as you mix until well comb lined. One at a time for the 3 eggs.
  4. In an icing sugar bag, with a narrow end, add in the mixture. Have a frying pan heat on medium-high heat with oil. Smear your paste in thin short strips and let them fry until browned. Cool them in a dry place then serve as a snack with any dipping.
