Jollof rice is cooked to style up any plain rice. Its simple to make and has a swet aroma with orange like colour. Here is how to make one at home.

  1. Get your blender, add in chopped onions, pepper, tomato sauce as you add half a cup of water. Lend till its smooth.
  2. Use a saucepan and heat oil over medium heat, add your puree, the long grain rice, curry powder, thyme or basil, salt and cubes. Mix through until they get togother. Let it simmer as you stir on intervals of 20mins as you add water.
  3. Keep checking until its cooked all through. This should take 45mins , and has achieved an orange colour.
  4. Its good to serve with stews , avocado or whatever else you will be taking.
