Plantains look like bananas but they differ in that Plantains do not ripen as bananas do. They have lower sugar levels and are best consumed by deep frying them to make sweet healthy snacks. You might chose to substitute plantains with Bananas but the taste is different.
Tip.. Plantains are a good accompaniment for Cinnamon Pancakes when you do not have syrups.

  3. Cut the plantains diagonally or in circles
